Ignite Change: Becoming a Citizen of the World
I am not an Athenian, nor a Greek, but a citizen of the world. –Socrates
Socrates, an old thinker from Greece, had a big idea: “I am not an Athenian, nor a Greek, but a citizen of the world.” Back then, people mostly cared about their own towns. But Socrates thought differently. He believed we’re all part of one big family, living on this cool planet together. This idea is called “cosmopolitanism,” and it means we should love and understand all cultures.
Nowadays, our world is super connected. We all face big problems like climate change, no matter where we live. Remembering what Socrates said can help us. Time is right to think like global citizens and work together, so that we can make the world a better place for everyone, no matter where they’re from.
