Don’t Fear the Fall: How to Embrace Failure and Thrive

If you tune it so that you have zero chance of failure, you usually also have zero chance of success. The key is to look at ways for when you get to your failure checkpoint, you know to stop.Reid Hoffman, Co-Founder of LinkedIn

Don’t fear the trip-up, learn and keep moving!

Ever used LinkedIn? The guy who helped start it, Reid Hoffman, is super successful, but he also knows learning from mistakes is key. He once said something cool: “If you try to avoid messing up completely, you probably won’t do anything amazing either.”

Playing it too safe might hold you back. Hoffman says it’s better to have a plan for when things go wrong, not just avoid doing anything at all.

As a child while learning to walk, we stumble a lot before we get better at it.

When something goes wrong, take a deep dive why things went wrong, learn from the mistakes and move on. After all, as Hoffman says, sometimes success is just on the other side of a little trip-up.

Empowering Tip: Instead of fearing or taking step backs from risks, face them, fight them and win the game.
